HOW SPORTS CONTRIBUTE TO STUDENTS’ WELL-BEING AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE

Sport is a recreational activity that involves physical exercise and skill in which an individual or team competes for entertainment. Not only is playing a sport fun, it can also improve your health. One of the best places for students to play sports is at school, where they can improve teamwork, friendship, and many other skills.

Playing sports at school isn’t just about winning games, but it’s also about developing habits and self-qualities that last a lifetime. It can improve your personality, fitness, mental health, and character.

Friends of mine who play football have said that playing football improves both mental and physical health. This is because playing football requires skills, endurance, and faith in your team.

I agree with their opinions because when I play football, I love to play as a goalkeeper. Being a goalkeeper requires you to have good reflexes. When I have good reflexes, I can catch falling objects so easily. This actually improves my performance in learning because having good reflexes also help in multitasking at school and makes doing work more efficient.

In conclusion, including sports into the school experience goes far beyond a physical activity. It nurtures mental health, builds character, and enhances academic success. Whether it's learning teamwork on the field, relieving stress through movement, or developing leadership skills, school sports play a vital role in shaping well-rounded and resilient individuals. As students grow through these experiences, they don't just become better athletes, they become better learners, friends, and future leaders.
